This is a very rare photo of the old Heworth School that was demolished in 1911 A rare 1920s photo of the old Imperial Cinema that burned down in 1929 & it's replacement was built in Felling Square. Wardley Colliery school children at school in 1921 & Gordon supplied quite a few names

Wardley Colliery school again. This is a class of 1933 with lots of names so look out for gran or grandad. Gordon has done a great job getting not only the photos but also lots of names. This Wardley class is from 1937 Wardley Colliery School girls hockey team in April 1938 at Seaham Camp. Hebburn schools also used Seaham Camp
Gordon thinks this is 'Pelaw Stores' (CWS) football team & the venue was on Brandling Park in Felling 1946 Wardley Colliery football team in 1948-49. Mr Foster was at Bill Quay School before moving to Wardley where he became Headmaster Pelaw Boys Brigade between 1945 & 1950 at the Pelaw Methodist Chapel with quite a few names.
