Tynesiders often visited this park as it had so much to offer us. Saltwell Park boating lake probably just before the 1920's began. The park was a great place to visit for Tyneside people. St Mary's Church on Oakwellgate close to the River Tyne early 1900s. Not the 2 little girls begging beside the church gate. They were had times. Insert text / comments here
