Lots of people called Hedgeley Rd-Station Rd junction 'Craigs Corner'. Here it is in the 1960's. Stan & Winnie Forster out with there son Raymond at the top of Mill Lane abt 1957/58. That is the Shields to White Mare Pool Rd behind them. The old Newtown School on Station Rd. Not sure when but we think the late 50's or early 60's.
I love this one Bob took of the Tennants Chemical Works 1800's bridge near the the river. Through the bridge was the rubbish tips when I was a child. A Hebburn Church group embarking at Ryton Willows in the 50's. Ray & Winnie Forster with baby Ray can be seen with the pram. Theres Maurice Crewe beating the big drum as the sea cadets march over the bridge in 1952/53.
